Client trust

Why trust MORSE INK with a permanent decision in Cairo.

A studio practising since 2016, a fine-art foundation, and a Zamalek address that residents, expats, and travellers return to. The proof is the work, the process, and the reviews.

  • Practising since 2016

The studio has worked continuously since 2016 and was rebranded as MORSE INK in 2022. That history includes a period when MORSE INK held a presence inside the old Egyptian Museum in Tahrir.

  • A fine-art foundation

Founder Mohamed Eraqe is a Fine Arts graduate in Sculpture from Cairo University. Form, proportion, and how a design sits on a three-dimensional body are considered before anything is drawn.

  • Zamalek, and an international clientele

A permanent studio in Zamalek, Cairo, working with Cairo residents, expats, and travellers. Egyptian cultural depth, craft, and the experience around the session are treated as one piece of work.

Eraqe designed a completely custom piece for me, and he put an incredible amount of thought, care, and artistry into every detail. I came in with ideas and symbolism that were deeply personal, and he transformed them into a design that exceeded anything I could have imagined. His black and grey work is absolutely exceptional. The level of detail, shading, and realism is stunning, and it's clear he takes enormous pride in his craft. Beyond the artwork itself, the entire experience at Morse Ink was outstanding. The studio is beautiful, spotless, and incredibly professional. Everyone made me feel comfortable from start to finish, and you can tell they hold themselves to a very high standard. Getting a large rib tattoo is never easy, but Eraqe was patient, thoughtful, and committed to making sure every part of the piece was exactly right. If you're looking for a custom tattoo in Cairo, especially black and grey realism, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Morse Ink. I'll definitely be coming back for future work.

I recently visited Morse Tattoo Studio and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. I made my appointment through Instagram about a month in advance, and I was genuinely impressed by how quickly the team responded to my inquiry. The booking process was smooth, professional, and hassle-free, making it easy to secure a suitable date for my tattoo session. What truly stood out was the overall guest experience. From the moment I arrived, the team was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. They took the time to understand my ideas and transformed them into a tattoo design that exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail, creativity, and professionalism throughout the process gave me complete confidence and made the experience enjoyable and memorable. I am absolutely delighted with the final result. The tattoo turned out even better than I had imagined, and the quality of the work speaks for itself. If you're looking for a professional tattoo studio that provides excellent customer service, a seamless booking experience, and exceptional tattoo artistry, I highly recommend Morse Tattoo Studio. As an 🇺🇲, I'm covered in tattoos but haven't gotten one in almost 6 years. The vibes and the artist skill must be top level. MORSE INK is a whole vibe in itself, the color scheme, the art work, the openness and room set ups and the staff are all like family, who make you feel like you are part of something beautiful. My artist Mavie is next level phenomenal. I gave her some custom ideas on ancient Egyptian symbols and she truly brought it to life. She was gentle and attentive, a perfectionist when it came to the pieces, and just such a dope soul. The whole crew was awesome and everything about Morse ink and everyone there is a beautiful, one-of-a-kind experience. I now have a new artist and it's dope she is a female. Anytime you come through to Egypt or are looking for the highest level of quality and experience this is the spot. Side note - - - I can assure you, you will get much more then you paid for.

MORSE Ink is a great shop with great people! From the moment I walked in the entire staff was welcoming and hospitable (including the resident shop Cat who immediately jump on my lap to say hi while sitting in the waiting area 😸). Mavie is an AMAZING artist!! Her fine line work and stipple shading on my small sized tattoo was Phenomenal. Highly recommend this shop! 💯

How do I start. By saying thank you. I’m beyond grateful for Ivan’s work and patience. He was amazing from start to finish. Thank you to Farida who took her time asking me the whole time how I felt, if I was happy with everything and if I needed anything (especially when I started feeling sleepy 😅). And to Ali, the video/photographer, who was full of energy the whole time and took my mind off of the last hour of pain. And how could I forget Angela (the cat), who is just the cutest thing ever. I highly recommend it without a doubt and hopefully come to make another one of my ideas come through.

Your timing

What can fit your time in Cairo?

The honest answer depends on the piece, the artist, the session length, and the dates you can make available.

  • A focused, one-session piece

Some focused pieces may fit one session. Share the idea, placement, approximate size, and dates you have available so we can review what is realistic without rushing the work or promising a session in advance.

  • A larger project

Larger areas and multi-part projects may need more than one session. We will be clear about what fits your timing rather than compressing the process.

  • A visit with fixed dates

If you are traveling, include your arrival, departure, and flexibility. Travel dates help us review the fit but do not guarantee studio availability.

Zamalek, Cairo

See the studio before you decide.

MORSE INK works from a permanent studio in Zamalek, Cairo. Walk-ins are accepted with conditions, and a booking request remains the more reliable route to a specific artist or date.

Booking

Know what happens before anything is reserved.

A request lets the studio review your idea, artist fit, dates, and practical details. It does not confirm a session.

Deposit summary

A booking is confirmed once a deposit of 20–30% of the agreed investment is received — a verbal or written agreement on price does not confirm a session. The deposit is deducted in full from your final price. Once design, planning, or consultation time has been invested in your piece, the deposit becomes non-refundable, reflecting the time and creative work already given to your project.

The process

Clear before anything becomes permanent.

  1. 01

    Share the direction

Tell us the meaning, placement, references, and timing you are considering.

  2. 02

    Review the fit

The studio reviews the project, artist fit, practical details, travel context, and readiness.

  3. 03

    Align the approach

If the request is suitable, the next conversation clarifies direction, scope, artist, timing, and investment before anything is scheduled.

  4. 04

    Create and continue the care

The session follows the studio process, and you leave with aftercare guidance specific to the placement and work carried out.

Travel-aware aftercare

Plan the session around what comes next.

Swimming, sun exposure, flights, and Cairo heat can affect healing. Share your plans so placement and timing can be reviewed with your itinerary. Your artist explains aftercare in person and provides written guidance specific to your placement and the work carried out.
